The two tactics you can’t skip this year

The online world moves fast and staying ahead of the curve is key. There are two BIG things you should have in your online business right now if you don’t already: Recurring Revenue and Organic Short Form Video.
You may have heard about these tactics already, but the way they can work together is magic.
If you’re thinking these sound like two completely different things, they’re more related than you’d think! We dive into these two tactics in the newest post on the EBA blog, The Winning Formula For Your Online Business This Year.
POWER MOVES
Focus on this ONE number a day
Last year was a year of learning and growth here at Elite Blog Academy®.
The online marketing world had changed seemingly overnight and we went on the search to find out what was working now.
We soaked in courses and coaching programs and tested all.the.things to find out what tactics were bringing results, and how they could fit together in a cohesive strategy that would be able to withstand any changes yet to come.
We walked away with so much new knowledge and ultimately Ruth formed our newest strategy path, the Powerhouse Freedom Path. She cracked the code to what was working and mapped out the winning strategy to use those tactics for lasting results.
And through all this, there was one key metric we started tracking that was a game changer in our business. This one metric created a mindset shift in how we viewed the huge goals we set. It helped them to feel achievable and allowed us to focus on just one small thing each day.
It’s called a critical number.
We first learned about it through Stacy Tuschl, and this nugget was GOLD. (She breaks down what the critical number is and how to define yours in this article.)
Essentially, your critical number is the one metric you can focus on each day, and if you meet that number daily you can guarantee you will make your goals for the long term.
It’s the one thing you can pour energy into and put full focus into each day to create massive momentum for your business.
Your critical number can be a daily revenue goal, daily product or membership sales, daily leads, etc. You want to make sure the number you choose will have a major impact on your business. It should feel like a stretch, but not so huge that it feels out of reach. And it should be something you can easily track because if you can’t track it, you can’t measure how you’re doing.
When our company set critical numbers for each brand, we rallied behind the critical numbers and celebrated them! (We still celebrate in Slack when we hit a Critical Number Day!) This one metric has helped us to laser in our focus daily so we can focus on what it takes to hit that goal and know our efforts are ultimately bringing us closer to our big annual goals.
Read the article and then let us know what critical number you decide!

MINDSET MATTERS
The power of feedback

As business owners, we wear many hats. We're strategists, marketers, customer service reps and sometimes cheerleaders for ourselves! But even the most enthusiastic cheerleader needs constructive criticism to truly excel. That's where feedback comes in.
Feedback, whether positive or negative, is a gift.
Positive feedback affirms what we're doing well and motivates us to keep going. Negative feedback, though it might sting initially, can be even more valuable. It unveils blind spots and areas for improvement, propelling us towards growth.
The key to unlocking the power of feedback is embracing a growth mindset. This means viewing challenges and setbacks as opportunities to learn. When we see feedback as a roadmap to improvement, rather than a judgment, we open ourselves to incredible possibilities.
Here's how to leverage feedback for maximum growth:
Seek it out: Don't wait for feedback to come to you. Actively solicit honest opinions from clients, colleagues or even trusted friends.
Listen deeply: When receiving feedback, truly listen. Don't get defensive; instead, try to understand the core message.
Ask questions: Don't be afraid to ask for clarification or specific examples. This helps you grasp the feedback fully.
Take action: Don't let feedback gather dust. Create a plan to address the points raised and put your learnings into practice.
Remember, growth rarely happens in a comfort zone.
By embracing feedback and adopting a growth mindset, you can transform perceived setbacks into stepping stones for success. So, the next time you receive feedback, see it as a chance to learn, adapt and become the best entrepreneur you can be.
