With competition so fierce and trends shifting seemingly by the day, setting clear goals is a must. But here’s the kicker—just saying what you want isn’t going to cut it. You’ve got to break those goals down into actionable steps that actually make sense and guide you on your journey. Do this and your future self will thank you!
So, how do you turn those big dreams into reality?
Today we are sharing our own tried-and-true method, Ruth’s Goal Crushing Formula:
Claim Your Target: First things first, you need to know exactly what you want to achieve. Is it more website traffic, higher sales, or maybe a loyal fan base? The more specific you are, the easier it’ll be to track your progress.
Refine Your Objective: Now that you’ve got your target, let’s make it a bit sharper. Instead of saying, “I just want more traffic,” try, “I want to boost my website traffic by 20% in the next three months.” That gives you something solid to aim for!
Understand Your Motivation: Why does this goal matter so much to you? Identifying your underlying motivation will keep you on track, especially when things get tough. Whether it’s for personal satisfaction, financial gain or making a difference, having a strong reason will keep the fire burning!
Step It Out: Break that big goal down into bite-sized, manageable steps. It’ll make the whole thing feel less overwhelming. For instance, if your goal is to increase traffic, your steps might include optimizing content for SEO, building backlinks, and promoting on social media.
Handle Obstacles: Let’s be real—roadblocks are gonna happen. So, anticipate them and think ahead about how you’ll tackle them. Whether it’s tech issues, unexpected competition or limited resources, being prepared can save you a lot of headaches.
Implement Your Plan: Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work! Consistency is key here. Make sure you dedicate time every day to push towards your goal. If you start to lose steam, remember your “why” and the benefits of reaching that target.
And don’t forget to Treat Yourself! Celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Whether it’s a little reward for hitting a milestone or a bigger celebration when you reach your final goal, acknowledging your achievements can seriously boost your morale.

We see this struggle all the time with our EBA® Powerhouse members—they often undercharge because they don’t recognize their worth! It’s important to realize that your coaching services bring a ton of value to your customers. You’re giving them the tools, knowledge and support they need to reach their goals and make real progress in their lives or businesses. By undervaluing your expertise, you’re basically denying yourself the financial rewards you’ve worked hard for.
Here are some pricing strategies to help you set a fair and confident rate:
Value-Based Pricing: Think about the tangible and intangible benefits your customers will get from your coaching or products. How will your guidance improve their lives or businesses? The more value you can show, the more justified your pricing will be.
Competitive Research: Check out what other coaches in your niche are charging. This can give you a benchmark for comparison. But don’t let the competition dictate your pricing. If you offer something unique, you might be able to charge a premium.

If you have been in our orbit for a few months, you likely have “met” her before. But for those of you who are not familiar with her story, Marisa's mission is truly unique—she's committed to empowering parents and teachers to impart the teachings of Catholicism to children through art.
Marisa is a perfect example of someone who understands the power of niching down and connecting with a specific audience. When she initially began her entrepreneurial journey within our coaching program, Marisa envisioned teaching children about Jesus through a blend of books and art. Her website was gorgeous, and her content was top-notch, but Marisa recognized an untapped audience that she could serve even more effectively.
Taking the plunge, Marisa niched down even more specifically to parents, homeschool moms and teachers interested in teaching Catholicism through art. The result? Marisa's offerings resonate deeply with her audience—evident in the overwhelming success of her recent flash sale featuring her Advent Art Project Bundle. She not only met but exceeded her sales goals, validating her hunch about the direction she should take her business.
